STATEMENT

Referring to writer Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities as the structure blueprint,Timeless Boundary assumes a space without time through the integration of photography, sound sample, text, and other media. Employing clues that have little time reference, it remixes objective visual and audial materials to produce potential "conflicts" and "contradictions", which intervenes the established order, at the same time, reserves the logic of existing landscape, and hence blurring the identity and the authenticity of the cities. The given evidences, literature references and the reconstructed geographic contexts all not only question the perception of the space and things, but also intend to project the landscape and space onto individual "situation of spirit", leading to an experience and exploration of psycho-geography.
